There’s something undeniably comforting about a hearty bean salad, where every bite is packed with plant-based protein, vibrant vegetables, and delicious dressing. Not only is it nutritious and tasty, but it’s also something you can throw together with minimal effort on busy or low energy days. Bean salads are nothing new and have a long history in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines, where beans have been a staple protein source for centuries. Recently, however, TikTok creator Violet Witchel has everyone talking about (and craving) bean salads, thanks to her various dense bean salad recipes.

The concept itself is simple. 

1. Choose the beans of your choice (canned, ready to eat), 

2. Add vegetables if you want and/or meat or cheese if you like and lastly

3. Add your favorite dressing and seasoning.
